Lymphoedema Clinic
Treatment Methods: Massage to stimulate your weakend lymphatic system, Excercise while wearing compression stockings, Manual lymphatic drainage, Medication (antibiotics) to combat infections, Surgery to remove excess tissue from limb (if it interferes with your ability to move)

Healthy Leg Day
Compression Stockings are like medicine applied to the outside of the leg giving therapuetic results by 'hugging' them back to good health.  These would benfit people who stand or sit for long hours, have mild to severe swelling, who are pregnant and those who travel long distances. 

Ostomy Info Day
Healthcare professionals believe that patients who achieve a high level of independent self-care usually make a fuller and quicker adjustment than those that remain dependent on others.  After, recovering from surgery and learning how to manage your Ostomy, you can live a full social, work, and family life as you did prior to your illness.

Sports Taping Clinic Tip 1: Taping gives support & protection to joints  Tip 2: The standard immediate treatment for sports injury is: RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) 

Nordic Walking Club - Summer
Join the Nordic walking club. Bring your own walking poles or buy a pair from us! Walks start from our store on the Canada Way parking lot. We have a map (route) to lead you on the trek.

Canadian Diabetes Association:  Donate by dropping off your unwanted clothing in the Red Bin located just outside our store. The Clothesline Program reaches millions of people in every community across Canada and it begins with Canadians donating unwanted clothing to help eliminate diabetes.  Highlights of support value:

  • Diabetes research, eduction, service and advocacy
  • 42 million kilograms of items diverted from landfills
